Obninsk Polytechnic is one of the oldest state educational institutions in the city of Obnisk. In 2005 the technical school celebrated its 46th anniversary. On June 27, 1959, the Obninsk Polytechnic was established by Order No. 333 of the Ministry of Medium Machine Building.

As a state educational institution, the Obninsk Polytechnic has trained over 5 thousand specialists who are actively working at enterprises of various forms of ownership. Many of our graduates have become industry leaders, heads of large departments and divisions.

During its existence, a creative team has formed at the Obninsk Polytechnic School, in which about 60 teachers work. 1959 - on the initiative of the Physics and Power Engineering Institute, a branch of the Moscow Regional Polytechnic was organized on the educational and material base of the evening department No. 5 of MEPhI (order of the USSR Ministry of Medium Machine Building No. 333 on June 27, 1959);

By its 55th anniversary, the Obninsk Polytechnic has returned to normal - it has restored the number of students two years ago.

For two years in a row, the Obninsk Polytechnic, which has now fully and organically merged as a faculty at the IATE NRNU MEPhI, was a headache for the leadership of all ranks, from the directorate of the nuclear university itself and the municipal authorities of Obninsk to the administration of the head MEPhI and the government of the Kaluga region. However, the old and proven truth "cadres decide everything" worked this time too - with the coming to the post of the head of the technical school Vladimir Kasabrinov, who previously headed the tax service of Obninsk, and even earlier received practical experience of leadership educational part- six years as deputy dean of the law faculty of Tashkent State University them. VI Lenin, things in the technical school began to improve. Although the head of the technical school himself is a cheerful and open person, he does not see his own merits, but points to the direct help and assistance of the director of the IATE NRNU MEPhI Natalia Airapetova, the governor of the Kaluga region Anatoly Artamonov and ... the Lord God himself.

“As soon as I arrived at the technical school, I returned the portraits of Marshal Zhukov and President Putin, the icon of St. Vladimir, and then invited an Orthodox priest to consecrate our institution. Especially for the work to go! - Vladimir Kasabrinov says with a smile. - We came to the anniversary in a normal environment, that is, we accepted a lot of students - this is one of the key indicators. We received 280 people this year, which is more than last and the year before last combined. The admission was held in 8 specialties: programming, automation of technological processes, radiation safety, electricians, automotive, accounting, design and archiving. These are students not only from Obninsk, but also from Maloyaroslavets, Borovsk, Naro-Fominsk and Zhukovsky district, there are several students from the southern districts of the Kaluga region, as well as foreigners: Azerbaijanis, Moldovans, Ukrainians. The most demanded specialty is programming and accounting. Now we have come to the conclusion that half of our specialties are budget-funded (programming, ATP, radiation safety and repair of electromechanical equipment), and the other half are paid. "

“The technical school closely cooperates, first of all, with the enterprises that are part of the Rosatom structure,” continues Vladimir Kasabrinov. Karpov - they order us specific specialists for their needs, and we supply these specialists to them. Moreover, students undergo practical training at those enterprises that "order" them. With such enterprises as OJSC PZ "Signal", FNIFHI im. Karpov, which are part of the structure of Rosatom, a separate work is underway. Valentin Rodionov, director of PZ Signal OJSC, showed great interest in the possibilities of the technical school, who plans to attract young specialists to the enterprise within the framework of an agreement with students with the obligation to work out a certain time at the plant after graduating from the technical school. Our task is not simply to graduate students, but to have them either go to work or study after graduating from technical school. So, this year, every fourth of our 175 graduates entered universities, including the IATE NRNU MEPhI, in order to further improve their education. More than 20 people have been drafted into the army. We are now working out the "school-technical school-institute" scheme at the level of an internal agreement - it is beneficial for both us and the students, since the guys take a direct path to the chosen specialty, they will be more prepared than if they enter the institute right after school, bypassing the technical school, plus for state employees an incentive to study for A's in the form increased scholarships- if you are an excellent student, then you do not receive the basic 500 rubles, but more than 3000 rubles of the scholarship. Our educational requirements are very strict. We do not keep students so long as they sit at lectures - if the student cannot cope with curriculum, then we will immediately deduct. By the way, about the teaching staff. The average work experience of our teachers, taking into account young personnel, is 15 years. However, a cohort of the old guard was formed at the technical school, teachers working for many years: Vladimir Mukhortov - 54 years of continuous work experience, Alexander Osoblivets - 44 years, Svetlana Smogaleva - over 40 years, Valentina Babanina - 36 years, Nikolai Fatov - 24 years, Valery Lunkin - 16 years old.

For two years, the technical school suffered serious losses in manpower: the number of students decreased from 800 to 560, and there was no recruitment for a number of specialties at all for the first year. But the leadership of the IATE NRNU MEPhI, Obninsk and the Kaluga region helped us, and now we have recovered a little and moved forward. In total, 560 people are currently studying at the technical school, but if we admit at least 200-250 people for three more years, it will reach 800 people. And if among the applicants the most demanded specialty is programmers, then the enterprises require, first of all, electromechanics - there are not enough of them in the industry ”.

However, the technical school also counts on the needs of Obninsk enterprises in young trained specialists - today they all need workers in working specialties. Vladimir Kasabrinov turned to the directors of Obninsk enterprises with a proposal to train personnel for them in the entire spectrum of specialties of the technical school: maintenance and repair of vehicles, radiation safety, technical operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment, automated information processing system and management by industry, automation of technological processes and production and software computing technology automated systems. However, Vladimir Kasabrinov calls on other enterprises of the city, which are not at all related to Rosatom, to take advantage of the opportunities of the technical school in training workers. After all, the Obninsk technical school has good base, great experience in teaching students in the most relevant specialties today - after all, the work has been going on for almost 60 years. Or rather, 55 years old. By the way, the gala evening dedicated to this anniversary will take place on October 3 at 17.00 at the FEI Palace of Culture. Signals that a not very pleasant situation was developing at the Obninsk Polytechnic began to arrive a few months ago - from there in the middle school year experienced male teachers began to quit, dissatisfied with the reduced salary and the attitude of the management educational institution... And before the New Year, when the Polytechnic officially became a part of the IATE, the situation escalated to an extreme degree. People are eagerly awaiting the 4th of February - payday, which will clarify everything.

We tried to meet with the teachers of the technical school, made an appointment. But two hours before her, a call rang in the editorial office: “Don't come, they won't let you on the watch”. Well, okay, you can also meet in the newspaper, fortunately, the editorial office is only two hundred meters from the technical school. However, the teachers answered this offer with a categorical refusal. What does this mean? Have people been intimidated? Are they afraid for their future? One can only guess. But the fact remains - the day before the meeting, people were ready to talk about their troubles, and a day later - they refused: “We will not be able to see each other under any guise.” That is, they ruled out the possibility of even anonymous communication.

What's going on? The situation was clarified by the former director of the technical school Vladimir Petrov, who resigned from there a few days before the New Year: “In June 2011, an order was issued to liquidate the Obninsk Polytechnic and Mathematical College and give them the status of branches of the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI with direct subordination to the head of the IATE. Both technical schools actually became faculties of the Obninsk university. At a meeting of the Academic Council of MEPhI, I voted against this decision, but the head of the university said that it was impossible to act otherwise in connection with the changed legislation. In August, the liquidation commission began its work. All employees of the technical school were offered to quit and write an application for employment at IATE. Many refused to do this, fearing that the teaching experience would be lost. People insisted on arranging a transfer from one place of work to another. And the head of the Institute of Atomic Energy finally agreed with this - on December 16, a transfer order was signed. As for me personally, I was transferred with a demotion, as an ordinary teacher. I did not agree with this and wrote a letter of resignation of my own free will, and on December 26 received a notice of the reduction of the position of the director of the technical school. However, this is not about me. Most of the employees combined teaching activities with some kind of administrative work. But they were transferred to IATE only as teachers. Therefore, people are worried whether their previous earnings will remain. On February 4, payday, it will become clear. ”

We turned for comments to the acting head of the technical school (as this position is now called) Alexander Nakhabov, but he refused to talk, they say, is not authorized. This was confirmed by the rector of IATE Valery Galkin: "The technical school is under my direct supervision." Valery Alekseevich said that the process of adaptation of the polytechnic to the IATE is taking place, as a result of which no one should suffer - neither teachers, nor students.

Didn't it suffer because of optimization educational process? Vladimir Petrov claims that he was hurt: “There is no teacher in nuclear physics, there is no teacher in electronics. The parents of the students have already begun to resent it. "

The head of the Institute of Atomic Energy, Valery Galkin, categorically refutes this statement: "The technical school staff is fully staffed, and the educational process is proceeding normally." Deputy Head Pavel Zdorovtsev concretizes: “Many statements of the former director of the technical school do not correspond to reality. In November-December last year, while his powers were retained, there really were not enough teachers. This issue has now been fully resolved. No problem with execution curriculum no. The most important thing is that the employees of the technical school received their first salary after joining at the end of December. Thanks to the prize, she was even higher than usual. All the teachers of the technical school have already got an idea of ​​the salary that they will receive in the process of reorganization, we have kept all the allowances. The day of February 4 will bring nothing new ”.

What's the bottom line? The bosses reassure that everything will be fine, but the teachers, nevertheless, are worried. The most important thing is that about 800 students study at the technical school, and they must be sure that all obligations to them will be fulfilled.
