The Faculty of Chemistry and Technology invites students and teachers to take part in the IV Regional Chemistry Olympiad "Khimonya - 2016"

(April-May 2016) The purpose of the competition is to popularize the Olympiad movement in chemistry, identify, support and develop gifted students.

The objectives of the Olympiad are:

1) disclosure creativity students;

2) development of a non-standard style of thinking;

3) activation of extracurricular and extracurricular work in chemistry;

4) the search for talented youth and the organization of vocational guidance;

5) attraction of students-chemists to the organization of the Olympiad movement in the Tver region;

6) creating conditions for professional growth chemistry teachers.

I. The Olympiad is held in three age groups: grade 8, grade 9, grade 10.

The competition is held in two stages.

II. Dates of the Olympiad:

Documents required for participation in the Olympiad To participate in the regional stage of the competition, you must send an application for participation to the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad by May 12, 2016. Representation rate - no more than 3 people. for each age group; just from educational institution- no more than 9 students. In exceptional cases, by agreement with the Olympiad Organizing Committee, the representation rate for individual educational institutions may be increased. The total number of places for participation is limited (no more than 300 people).

An application from an educational institution is sent (in one file) by e-mail (E-mail: [email protected]). In the name of the file and the subject of the letter, it is necessary to indicate - "Application_ for the olympiad_Chemonya_2016". In response, you will be sent a letter of receipt.

Vi. Rules for participation in the Olympiad

Students of the 8th, 9th and 10th grades of general educational institutions of the city of Tver and the Tver region who are interested in studying chemistry can take part in the competition.

The first stage of the competition is school. The educational institution independently conducts preparatory activities: notifies students about the Olympiad, selects and prints out tasks, organizes the verification of works and awarding the winners (form of the certificate for participation - see Appendix). At this stage, the educational institution determines the restrictions on the number of participants in the competition independently.

To prepare and conduct school stage Olympiad it is recommended to use the materials of the tutorials:

Winners and prize-winners of the school stage are invited to the second (regional) stage of the Khimonya-2016 Olympiad: up to nine students from an educational institution - three people from 8th, 9th and 10th grades.

The regional stage is held in the secondary school №43 in Tver at the address: Tver, st. Sklizkova, d. 95 (microdistrict "Chaika").

At the regional stage, schoolchildren are invited to decide:

10 test tasks basic level difficulty: time to complete - 25 minutes;

task number 1 increased level complexity (level of the municipal stage All-Russian Olympiad schoolchildren): time to complete - 40 minutes;

task number 2 high level complexity (the level of the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren): time to complete - 55 minutes.

The total time to complete the tasks is 120 minutes (2 hours).

While completing assignments, schoolchildren are prohibited from using any means of communication and their own sources. reference information(including tablet and pocket computers, communicators, smartphones, electronic notebooks, reference books, tables, textbooks, etc.). Olympiad participants who violate this rule are subject to mandatory disqualification.

VIII. The order of work of the jury. Summing up the results of the Olympiad Checking the work is organized directly during the Olympiad (test tasks, problem No. 1) and after the end (problem No. 2) on May 14, 2016. The jury includes: teachers of chemistry of educational institutions who take part in the Olympiad (accompanying persons);

experienced teachers, specially invited to check the work, teachers and students of chemistry from TvSTU and TvGU.

Participants' work is encrypted before verification. Execution check test items carried out 25 minutes after the start of the Olympiad. Checking solutions to problem No. 1 is carried out 65 minutes after the start of the competition. Checking the solutions of problem No. 2 is carried out after the completion of the work by the students (after 120 minutes). Based on the results of the check, draws up a general protocol.

The number of prize-winners and winners of the Olympiad is determined at the rate of up to 30% of the number of participants in each age category.

Winners and prize-winners of the regional Olympiad "Himonya-2016" will be invited to participate in the V Summer school Olympic reserve, which in June 2016 will be held on the basis of the secondary school №45 in Tver (curator of the project - Tatyana Anatolyevna Gorbunova).

IX. Financial conditions for participation in the Olympiad Participation in all stages of the Olympiad is free. Travel to the place of the regional stage and back is carried out at the expense of the sending party (educational institution) or at the expense of the parents of the students.
